Born in 1408, Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya was a legendary 15th-century Telugu poet, composer, and saint. He is widely revered as the "grandfather of Telugu song-writing" (Andhra Pada Kavita Pitamaha) and dedicated his 95 years of life to composing approximately 32,000 sankeertanas (devotional songs) in praise of Lord Venkateswara. He was also a visionary social reformer who used his poetry to oppose the social stigmas of his era, teaching that God is accessible to everyone regardless of caste, color, or financial status.
The Vishnu Sahasranamam is a highly revered Sanskrit hymn consisting of 1,000 names of Lord Vishnu. Chanting these names is believed to form a protective barrier, alleviate stress, and foster deep spiritual growth. Reciting this powerful stotra collectively amplifies its spiritual benefits, making our goal of gathering 1,000 devotees a historic milestone for the entire DFW community.
Absolutely. We offer dedicated handicap parking (including van-accessible spaces) located close to the north and west entrances. The building features wheelchair-accessible ramps, elevators to the prayer halls, and fully accessible restrooms.
Not at all! The group rendition at 3:30 PM is a devotion-led community offering. We encourage everyone to participate, regardless of formal training. You can find the audio tracks and lyrics for the seven Saptagiri Kirtans on this page so you and your family can practice at home.
While Annamacharya's compositions are primarily in Telugu and hold deep significance for the Telugu diaspora, the Radha Krishna Temple welcomes families from all linguistic and regional backgrounds. Our goal is to provide a unified spiritual home that breaks down regional barriers.
We have ample parking on-site. To ensure a peaceful experience and avoid peak-hour congestion, we recommend arriving early. Our dedicated volunteer team will be present to guide traffic and ensure a smooth flow of attendees throughout the day.
We request attendees to dress modestly in traditional Indian attire or respectful formal wear. Covering shoulders and knees is recommended to honor the spiritual nature of the temple and the festival.
Annamacharya Aradhanotsavam is a grand devotional and musical festival held to commemorate the life, saintly devotion, and enduring legacy of Annamacharya. We celebrate this festival to honor his profound contributions to Carnatic music, to pass down our rich Vedic and Telugu cultural heritage to the next generation, and to unite the community in collective worship.

No. We understand that classical arts environments can sometimes feel intensely pressured or overly critical for young learners. This festival is strictly a devotional offering (Nada Seva) designed to be a nurturing, non-competitive space where youth and adults can express their love for the Divine through music.
We are highly mindful of our local neighbors and recent community concerns regarding loud festival noise in suburban areas. By hosting the musical performances entirely indoors, we ensure a vibrant, joyful celebration that remains respectful and does not disrupt the surrounding Allen community.
Yes! The Yugal Kunj Canteen at the Radha Krishna Temple will be open, offering authentic, home-style Indian vegetarian food and snacks for purchase so your family can comfortably stay for the entire day's schedule.
Yes, philanthropy and seva (selfless service) are core values of our community. We welcome volunteers to assist with event logistics and offer various sponsorship tiers for families and local businesses who wish to support the preservation of our cultural arts.
