Leadership Workshop For Youth

The Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas (Allen) will host JKYog Leadership Workshop For Youth on the July 13th & 14th starting at 8:30 AM CT. We invite all high schoolers & college students to attend in person at the Radha Krishna Temple. The primary goal of the leadership workshop is to empower young people to take on leadership roles in their schools, communities, and beyond. By providing them with the tools and skills they need to be successful leaders, these workshops help young people to become more confident, responsible, and engaged members of society.
JKYog Leadership Workshop for Youth is a 2-day workshop filled with fun & innovative leadership activities that will help you reach your leadership potential. Learn from highly successful and effective leaders on essential leadership skills, develop your leadership identity and discover your true calling in life.
These workshops involve a series of interactive sessions that cover topics such as communication, goal setting, decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, and time management. The participants get to learn the the masters in their domain and benefit as they share from decades of their experiences.

Council Member Cara Mendelsohn is an accomplished nonprofit executive and volunteer leader with a passion for building stronger communities. She was elected to the Dallas City Council in May 2019. Impressively, she has an extensive record of volunteer service to the community that has been recognized with many civic awards, including "Volunteer of the Year" for Collin County from Volunteer Center of North Texas, two Life Member awards from PTA, the Service Learning Partnership Award from Collin College, the Homeless Advocate Award from the Baron and Blue Foundation, the Community Impact Award from Plano ISD, the Environmental Education Award from the City of Plano, the Shofar Award from Boy Scouts of America’s National Committee on Jewish Scouting, and the Board Leadership Award and a 15-year Board Service Award from Jewish Family Service of Dallas, of which she served as Board Chairman for 2 years.

Prof. Dinesh Bhatia
Youth Leadership Speaker. Dinesh Bhatia is a faculty member in the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas. He directs research activities within the IDEA Lab.His research investigations have spanned in the areas of high-performance computing, healthcare & medical devices, and power and energy systems.He has served on the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Computers, has served as general chair for International Conference on Body Sensor Networks, and was IEEE Circuits and Systems society’s distinguished lecturer for 2007-2008.
Gaurav Shekhar
Gaurav Shekhar is the Program Director of the Graduate Business Analytics Program (FLEX and Online). He is also an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Information Systems area and teaches courses like Business Intelligence and Digital Consulting to both Graduate and Undergraduates.
