When is Raksha Bandhan?

Raksha Bandhan in 2025 will be celebrated on Friday, August 8th.It falls on the Purnima (full moon) of the Shravan month in the Hindu calendar. The auspicious time to tie the Rakhi is typically during the muhurta after sunrise and before sunset, avoiding Bhadra kaal.

What is the significance of Raksha Bandhan?

Raksha Bandhan celebrates the sacred bond between siblings, where sisters tie a rakhi for protection, and brothers vow to safeguard them. It symbolizes love, trust, and duty, and also represents spiritual devotion and the soul’s bond with the divine.

Are colors allowed during the Phoolon Ki Holi Celebration?

No, color play is not permitted inside the temple premises to maintain the sanctity of the event. Instead, the celebration focuses on sprinkling vibrant flower petals on Radha and Krishna, accompanied by joyous kirtans and spiritual activities. This unique tradition allows devotees to immerse themselves in the festive spirit while honoring the sacred environment of the temple.

How to celebrate Raksha Bandhan?

Celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Lord Krishna by tying a rakhi to His idol or photo, offering flowers, sweets, and chanting His names. Pray for His protection and grace, expressing your love and surrender, just like Draupadi’s divine bond with Krishna.

Is parking available at the temple during the event?
