RKT Dallas Bhoomi Poojan : Making History ….Again!

Swami Mukundananda(senior disciple of Jagadguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj) announced the expansion of the JKYog Worldwide Headquarters, the Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas during the historic, first ever virtual Bhoomi Poojan celebration in the world for Phase 2: Cultural and Educational Center. The state-of-the-art cultural and educational center will have multiple classrooms for youth educational programs, and variously sized halls for yoga, meditation, community events, and cultural performances by world renowned artistes.

Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas, has evolved exponentially since its inception in 2017, becoming a nucleus of the community. Those who were present at the first Bhoomi Poojan will remember the miraculous blessings received from heaven in the form of rain showers the moment Swamiji broke the ground!

Bhoomi Poojan for Phase 2 was nothing short of a miracle, given that it was successfully organized in the middle of COVID-19!

“In this difficult situation we would like to thank Shree Radha Krishna, Jagadguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj, for giving us strength of purpose in JKYog that made us pursue this project, despite the pervading pandemic.”, said Swami Mukundananda.

Conducted virtually through the JKYog Online platform, thousands of devotees world over got the once in a lifetime opportunity to offer sevas and participate, thereby earning good karma for generations to come. The event was widely covered in the press.

Swami Mukundananda highlighted the multiple things that needed to fall in place for such a momentous occasion to take place and drove home the importance of gratitude to attract the grace of the Lord in the spiritual journey: “For this to happen so many things had to come together: a proper plan by the architect, the proper structural drawings by the engineers, the approvals after many rounds by the city authorities, the selection of proper contractors by the construction manager, the final construction permit from the city and alongside the approval of the loan application by the bank with the help of the supporters, for this and so many other graces we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Supreme Lord for having blessed us with a fruitful and successful Bhoomi Poojan.”

With exquisite Indian architecture matching the Radha Krishna Temple, the cultural center is set to become a popular landmark in Dallas.

RKT Dallas Bhoomi Poojan: Heart Touching Festivities and Shower of Divine Grace

As a prelude to the groundbreaking ceremonies (Bhoomi Poojan) taking place on May 17th, JKYog and the Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas, hosted a live online Worldwide 24 Hour Mahasankirtan Yajna from May 15th to 16th. Swami Mukundananda, JKYog founder, himself inaugurated the Mahasankirtan Yajna in his nectarine voice.

Singers from JKYog locations around the US and the world then took turns contributing to the program bringing the devotional sentiments to a crescendo for the Groundbreaking Ceremony on Sunday May 17th. Devotees relished the nectarine compositions of Jagadguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj, readying their hearts for divine grace and raising their enthusiasm. They collectively imbued the temple walls and grounds with the vibrations of their Bhakti, such that future temple visitors and performers at the cultural center will also be blessed with Bhakti towards Shree Radha Krishna - this was the most essential part of the Bhoomi Poojan.

The night before the ground breaking, there were torrential rains. This made things extremely challenging for the outdoor ceremonies. Selfless volunteers worked all night long to prepare a dry area and made extensive arrangements for the ceremonies. By the immense grace of God and Guru, the skies were clear and sunny the next day. The hand of God was felt palpably in the visible reciprocation of the volunteers' well-intentioned efforts.

The Bhoomi Poojan festivities began with a blissful Ganesh Poojan. To add to the devotional vibrations of the grounds, 1-crore written contributions of “Naam Jaap” or the divine name from devotees worldwide, were offered.

Swami Mukundananda, delivered a blissful and inspiring keynote address on the role of the Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas in elevating humanity spiritually through devotion. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the donors and all the community supporters.

“The center for culture and education will provide us with many more opportunities to do Sadhan Bhakti. We have heard from Jagadguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj that in Sadhan Bhakti your foremost priority is to purify your heart and the foremost means of purifying that heart is Seva... This Seva Dharm, the temple and the cultural center, in the years and the decades and the centuries to come, will provide us and future generations, with innumerable opportunities, to serve, to please the Lord, to purify ourselves, to sanctify our existence, to make holy this entire planet Earth and contribute to the purification of the three worlds, in this universe of the four headed Brahma.”

Devotees became simultaneously jubilant and emotional, the moment the ground was struck. A new era had dawned in the history of the Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas, signaling the beginning of the expansion of Sanatana Dharma in the Western Hemisphere in accordance with the vision of Jagadguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj.

Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas: Transforming and Uplifting the Community

JKYog and the Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas have been actively engaging not only Hindus seeking ways to preserve their culture and succeed in putting their beliefs into practice in today’s high-pressure modern lifestyle but have also attracted a growing following of seekers exploring Vedic culture, Yoga, and mind management. To suit the needs of the pandemic, JKYog launched a virtual course platform offering several life transformation programs for adults and children. [1]

This temple is a manifestation of JKYog’s core principle of selfless service and upliftment of humankind.  Beyond serving as a tranquil setting for retreats, educational workshops, youth classes, and cultural events rich in Indian classical music and dance traditions, Radha Krishna Temple has been recognized as a leader in community service, through efforts to help disadvantaged children, the elderly, and much more. The jubilant festival celebrations and various philanthropic efforts unite the community. [1]

The volunteer group is ever growing and continuously inspired to serve the community through philanthropic and social endeavors such as the recent lunch donation to the Frontline Responders of the City of Allen (Texas), including fire and police department employees, paramedics, and essential workers. Several Texas officials such as the Mayor of the City of Allen Debbie Stout and the Allen City Police Chief Brian Harvey thanked JKYog and the Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas for their inspiring community efforts.
