Devotional Chanting
The Radha Krishna Temple of Dallas is excited to bring to its devotees a Devotional Chanting Program (DCP) to learn the meaning and chanting of everyday masterpiece Sanskrit prayers. Learn to appreciate the glory and beauty of the Supreme Lord Shree Krishna verse by verse with meanings including
- Vishnu Sahasranamam (by Sage Ved Vyas),
- Bhaja Govindam (by Adi Shankaracharya) and
- Madurashtakam (by Vallabhacharya).
When: Every Thursday at 7:00 PM CST (6:30 AM IST) Starting December 17th
LEAP: Carnatic Music Classes
The LEAP program (Learn-Engage-Advance-Perform) in Classical Carnatic Music, vocal and violin, is a goal oriented program steeped in classicism and grammar taught in the traditional Gurukula system.
- Students will develop an ability to appreciate, understand, and assimilate melody, rhythm, lyrics and devotion.
- Classes are offered at Beginner, Junior, Senior and Concert levels.
- Classes will be taught by Dr. Vijaykumar Krishnan, a fourth generation musician, violinist and a music researcher!
