Course Description

The Community CPR course is designed to provide lay rescuers the fundamental skills and confidence to perform CPR on adults, children, or infants. This course will teach participants how to recognize and alleviate airway obstructions, and the signs, symptoms, and corrective action to take when a person's breathing has stopped.

Course Length

Approximately 2 hours

Intended Audience

This course is strongly recommended for all of the general public. This course will not fill the requirements for health care providers or daycare/preschool teachers.

WHAT IS CPR?

CPR is an acronym for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. CPR is critical in instances where a person’s heart stops beating or they stop breathing. Using rapid chest compressions mimics the heart beating to encourage blood flow, which can help the victim until additional help arrives.

CAN EVERYONE LEARN CPR?

Yes! Absolutely!! You could become someone's lifesaver ! Or someone with CPR training can someday save your life!

WHY LEARN CPR?

Science tells us that humans can survive only a few minutes without breathing. Getting oxygen into your system by someone who adminsters CPR is critical before paramedics arrive on the scene.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) can happen to people at any time or place. Victims of SCA must be treated immediately. If CPR is performed immediately, it can double or triple the chance of survival from an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

Out of love for your family, friends, neighbors, and just to be able to administer this random act of kindness to someone you don't even know, everyone should learn CPR, as it is undoubtedly a lifesaver!

Victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest require immediate CPR to prevent damaging effects from lack of blood flow to the brain, heart, lungs, and other organs. CPR can help increase the chance of survival for a family member, loved one, friend, colleague, or even someone you've never met before.

Registrations will only be accepted online via the event page registration process. No walk in's will be accepted at this time.

Option 1: CPR Course with Certification (In Person)

Course Fee $30

Must attend in person to receive certification.
Advanced registration required.

Option 2: CPR Course without Certification (In Person)

Course Fee: $0, Free

Advanced registration required for seating.

Registration Deadline:

June 22nd, 2024.

Age restrictions:

No age restrictions apply. Even young children, as long as they have the strength for compression can learn these life saving techniques.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Course fees are non-refundable whether or not you cancel your seat in advance. We do encourage you to let us know if you are planning to cancel, so we can give the seat to another potential life saver, since space is limited.
