Purushottam Maas Bhakti Sadhana

Purushottam Maas or Adhik Maas is an extra month in the HIndu calendar that is inserted to keep the lunar and solar calendars aligned. Purushottam is an epithet of Lord Vishnu, to whom the month is dedicated.

According to Devi Bhagavat, charity, good deeds and fasting carried out during this Mal Maas is sure to get good result. It is a time for one's own soul and spirit to complete all pending work, detoxify the body that remains pending since last three years. It is the month to regain once strength in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual terms.
